Toluca vs Rayados lineup changes Federico Viñas Luis García, Digi Mart USA News: Tonight’s match could complicate the tournament for both Toluca and Rayados, making the result especially important. After seven matches without a win, Antonio Mohamed must field his best lineup for the game, although he will make changes from his previous formations.
What happened to Federico Viñas and Luis García? Two absences from the starting XI stand out: Federico Viñas and Luis García. Viñas does not appear in the opening lineup because in the Matchday 14 game he was rotated out, with Paulinho moved to the bench.
This time, Mohamed chose not to keep the Portuguese forward and prefers the Uruguayan as a substitute.
The goalkeeper change appears fairly straightforward. Hugo González has performed well against his former club, which is why he gets the opportunity to start in goal against the former Rayados player.
As a result, García will remain on the bench for today’s match.
Viñas could still get a chance in the second half, since changes of this kind are a recurring pattern for the “Turco” especially when results do not come in the first half. For this match, both players are therefore left out of the starting lineup while the coach hopes these changes produce a positive result.
In summary: Antonio Mohamed has gone seven consecutive matches without a win heading into tonight’s game. Federico Viñas will sit on the bench, with Portuguese forward Paulinho starting as the central striker.
Hugo González will start in goal against his former club, replacing Luis García.
