In a statement, Rock en Seine said it was facing a set of unprecedented constraints beyond its control that prevent it from organizing the festival under the necessary conditions. The organizers said they had to make the difficult decision to take a break in 2027 in order to return better in 2028.

The statement cited numerous development works planned around the national estate of Saint-Cloud as the reason for the pause. The Cure was the headliner of the 2026 edition.
