Les Enquêtes de Vera Marée montante Kenny Doughty farewell France 3, Digi Mart USA News: “Marée montante” is set to air on France 3 on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 9:10 p.m. The episode is Kenny Doughty’s last appearance as Aiden Healy in Les Enquêtes de Vera, closing his storyline in Season 12 before the return of Joe Ashworth, played by David Leon, in Season 13.
The episode, titled “The Rising Tide” in its original English version, also marks the last appearance of Ibinabo Jack, who plays Jac Williams. ITV confirmed the departures when it announced the following season.
The farewell concerns a stage of the series that predates the show’s final Season 14.
Arriving in Season 5 in 2015, Aiden became a dependable partner for Inspector Stanhope. Their relationship rests on trust built over the course of many investigations, with Aiden watching over her when her determination begins to affect her well-being.
In the episode’s official material, Doughty explains that he chose to leave before filming Season 12. A Christmas special later extended this final collaboration, which was completed during filming in November and December 2022.
In the original broadcast order, David Leon returns as Joe Ashworth in Season 13. He appeared in the first four seasons, up to 2014, and comes back after the Aiden period.
Joe and Aiden are distinct characters, so the change of partner is not an actor replacing another in the same role. Joe’s return begins with “Fast Love,” in which Vera reunites with a former colleague with whom she shares a long history but wonders why he is present.
France 3’s schedule illustrates how several periods of the series are being juxtaposed. On November 8, “Marée montante” from Season 12 is followed at 10:40 p.m.
by “Urgence médicale” from Season 11. “Les Dames sombres” from Season 14 is listed for 12:10 a.m.
on Monday, November 9, with David Leon. Viewers following the characters should rely on the season sequence rather than the order of rebroadcasts.
The episode corresponds to the fifth installment of Season 12, first broadcast in the United Kingdom on December 26, 2023. The plot follows a television presenter found dead after a reunion of friends on Holy Island, with Vera examining the group’s secrets.
The identity of the culprit and the resolution are not revealed in the source. The cast includes Kenny Doughty as Aiden Healy, Jon Morrison as Kenny Lockhart, Riley Jones as Mark Edwards, Ibinabo Jack as Jac Williams and Sarah Kameela Impey as Dr.
Paula Bennett.
