Hamburg police arrest paralyzed Hells Angels boss, Digi Mart USA News (Hamburg, Germany): Undercover officers stopped three black luxury limousines in Hamburg, according to reports. A senior Hells Angels boss was reportedly seated in the back seat of one of the vehicles.
NDR described the suspect as a “big fish” who had reportedly fallen into police hands, while the Hamburger Abendblatt called him a leading member of the Hells Angels. The Morgenpost named him as Hamburg rocker boss Dariusch “Dari” F., who was arrested in the night leading up to Saturday.
According to the report, F., who has been paralyzed since a murder attempt, was sitting in the back seat of a Maybach when more than 30 plainclothes officers, along with numerous uniformed police and customs personnel, moved in. Photos published by the Abendblatt and the Bild newspaper show the operation and a man in a wheelchair whose face has been obscured.
Police stopped two additional luxury limousines that were escorting the boss. Shortly before 10 p.m., the operation resulted in the arrest of five suspects on Bugenhagenstraße near the central station.
The men had reportedly been observed earlier during a cash handover.
According to the reports, Dariusch F. allegedly had a sharp firearm on him, and officers also seized a large sum of cash.
The Morgenpost reports that F. faces charges of illegal possession of a weapon.
Shortly afterward, further arrests followed. Shortly before midnight, police reportedly detained two men in front of a cinema in HafenCity, who are also said to be Hells Angels.
A weapon was reportedly found there as well. After midnight, a suspected drug taxi was stopped on the Reeperbahn, and two more suspects were arrested.
Police said the operations were part of a series of violent incidents in Hamburg. The arrests were made “in light of the recent violent crimes,” the NDR quoted the police operations center as saying.
Shooting attacks have increased in Hamburg since the summer. In early September, two men were shot dead and a third was injured at a commercial yard in St.
Pauli. In October, police announced they would not tolerate the growing arming within certain criminal milieus and would intensify their efforts.
Dariusch F. was the target of a murder attempt in 2018 during a feud between the Hells Angels and the Mongols.
The then 38-year-old was struck by bullets in the head and upper body and survived with severe injuries.
