Toulouse Top 14 victory over Clermont, Digi Mart USA News: Ahead of hosting Clermont in the opening match of Round 9 of the Top 14, Stade Toulousain had reason for concern. During a weekend when many players were away on France national team duty, coach Ugo Mola made wide changes, starting seven young players from the club.
Two of them, Simon Daroque and Valentin Delpy, were given key roles in the centre and at fly-half. Both rose to the task.
Daroque scored a clever try in the 26th minute, while Delpy delivered a clean performance, contributing 13 points.
Their contributions helped Toulouse secure a 28-18 win over Clermont. More information will follow.
