Jean Reno and Zofia Borucka wedding, Digi Mart USA News (Les Baux-de-Provence, France): At 78, Jean Reno is preparing his first one-man show, titled Le Chameau, which begins December 1 at the Théâtre Édouard VII in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. He is scheduled to appear on France 2’s 8:30 p.m.
Sunday program on November 8, where he is expected to discuss his early career, his meeting with Luc Besson, his successes and his origins.
Away from the film set, Reno has shared his life for many years with Zofia Borucka. According to Le Nouvel Obs, the couple married on July 29, 2006, in front of about sixty guests in Les Baux-de-Provence in the Alpilles, where they live.
Among the guests, Reno’s witnesses drew particular attention: Nicolas Sarkozy, then Minister of the Interior, and singer Johnny Hallyday. Sarkozy was accompanied by his former wife Cécilia.
Dressed in a dark suit and open-collared white shirt, he reportedly greeted residents and tourists and posed for photos. Hallyday, dressed entirely in white with a floral shirt, attended with his wife Laetitia and their daughter Jade.
Other guests included former Marseille senator-mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin, comedian Muriel Robin, and director Ron Howard, who directed The Da Vinci Code, in which Reno appeared.
According to Paris Match, the two first crossed paths in New York in the late 1990s during a magazine photo shoot. At that time, Reno was married and the father of four, while Borucka, a young model, was also in a relationship.
They met again in 2004, when Borucka was going through a difficult period after a serious accident involving her then partner. At a party at her home, one of her friends attended with Reno, who later decided to contact her after spending considerable time talking with her.
Borucka told the magazine that after a phone call, her appointments across the city began to cancel, which she described as a sign.
While returning by taxi, she was stopped by Reno’s film shoot. He invited her into his trailer and offered her a McDonald’s salad.
Despite busy schedules, they continued to see each other, developed a friendship and later fell in love. Before Reno returned to France, he reportedly bought her a webcam so they could stay in contact.
The couple have since married and have two sons, Cielo and Dean.
