New Orleans Saints activate Jordyn Tyson and Kelvin Banks Jr. from injured reserve, Digi Mart USA News: Offensive reinforcements are coming for the Saints. New Orleans is activating wide receiver Jordyn Tyson and left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.

from injured reserve, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday. The team announced both roster moves shortly after.

Tyson, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 draft, is the splashier name coming back. He was limited all week as he geared up for his return from a hamstring injury that wiped out the first half of his rookie season.

One of two top-10 wide receiver picks in April’s draft, Tyson caught 158 passes for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns across four collegiate seasons split between Arizona State and Colorado.

He joined New Orleans expected to form one of the next great pass-catching duos with Chris Olave, but a training camp hamstring injury delayed a look at how the pair would fare together running routes for quarterback Tyler Shough. The 22-year-old will mix back into action alongside Olave, the team leader with 49 catches and 636 yards, as well as Devaughn Vele and tight end Juwan Johnson.

Banks’ return so soon is a pleasant surprise, as the standout left tackle suffered a severe high ankle sprain in Week 2 that required surgery. He spent only six weeks on injured reserve, however, and his re-entry to the lineup should be a boon for Shough, who could be in line for better protection after posting a pressure rate of 35.3 this season, 17th among quarterbacks.

New Orleans getting potential difference-makers back is significant for a club that sits at the bottom of a still-winnable NFC South. The Saints are 2-5, but they are only one game back of the other three teams in the win column: the Falcons (3-5), the Buccaneers (3-5) and the Panthers (3-4).

Coming out of their bye week much healthier, it is now or never for the Saints if they are to start climbing out of the hole they dug themselves.

New Orleans kicks off against the Browns at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
