A spokesperson for the public prosecutor’s office told BILD that the dead person is the missing girl Lisa.

An unidentified man was also found at the scene with serious injuries. According to the prosecutor’s office, he inflicted the injuries on himself and was taken to hospital.

The suspect has been arrested and is in critical condition.

Police were alerted around 12 noon over a possible trespassing offense. The site where the body was found is near the Polish border and more than 50 kilometers from Lisa’s home in Berlin-Marzahn.

Lisa, 13, left her family’s apartment on Golliner Straße in Berlin-Marzahn at 7:17 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3.

She was heading to catch the number 197 bus at 7:27 a.m. toward Mahlsdorf/Kaulsdorf, from the Barnimplatz stop about 400 meters away.

The bus stops at her school on Sella-Hasse-Straße, but she never arrived there.

Surveillance footage from inside the apartment, which BILD has seen, shows Lisa in a black jacket with her hood pulled deep over her face as she walks down the hallway and leaves the building. Her sister Linda, 17, told BILD that Lisa had been chatting with a friend, and that contact broke off three minutes after she left: “She didn’t answer anymore.”

For days, a large search operation looked for the schoolgirl. On Saturday, 220 police officers were deployed, with a police helicopter circling overhead.

On Sunday, the operation continued with more than 100 officers. The search expanded to a wider area within the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district, with investigators going door to door, speaking with residents, distributing witness appeals, and searching surrounding green spaces and the area around the Kaufpark Eiche shopping center, using sniffer dogs and a helicopter.
