GTA 6 launch trophies and achievements, Digi Mart USA News: Leaks suggest GTA 6 will launch with 55 single-player objectives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, exceeding the totals for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 at launch.
A pair of leaks points to 55 objectives at launch on both platforms. The objectives are all focused on single-player.
GameRoll shared information from TexFunz2, who first disclosed that Xbox Series X|S owners would have 55 goals.
One is assigned a value of 1000, hinting that Microsoft could introduce a mythic achievement. Such achievements have appeared only in first-party games, including Gears of War: E-Day, and are comparable to a PS5 platinum trophy for completionists.
Names of the objectives were not included to avoid potential story spoilers.
Dataminer PlayStation Game Size later confirmed the same total for Sony’s console. GTA 5 launched with 49 achievements on Xbox 360 and 50 on PS3, with one added in the next generation.
Some of those objectives could only be completed in GTA Online.
The leak also suggests GTA 6 will have more launch objectives than Red Dead Redemption 2, which had 51 achievements on Xbox One and 52 trophies on PS4, including a platinum. Many of those were multiplayer-focused.
The map of Leonida is significantly larger than those in previous Rockstar open-world games. Co-studio lead Rob Nelson said the main story and some additional quests require around 80 hours of gameplay.
Given the freedom available to Jason and Lucia, earning a GTA 6 platinum trophy or mythic achievement could be daunting.
A follow-up to GTA Online may not arrive until long after launch, but a follow-up seems inevitable. As with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, that will undoubtedly bring new GTA 6 trophies.
