Leroy Sané Galatasaray transfer interest MLS clubs, Digi Mart USA News: Former Germany international Leroy Sané’s spell at Galatasaray could end sooner than expected, according to the Turkish newspaper Takvim. The paper reports that three MLS clubs are interested in the 30-year-old, and that initial offers are reportedly being prepared.

Sané moved to Turkey in the summer of 2025 after five years at Bayern Munich. Takvim reports that officials from the US clubs have already observed him closely, including at the Champions League match against VfB Stuttgart, and that talks with the Galatasaray leadership have reportedly taken place.

Sané played only in the final phase of Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Stuttgart, coming on in the 77th minute. The Turkish newspaper Aksam also reports possible transfer considerations and says Saudi Arabia could be another destination.

In his first season at Galatasaray, Sané scored seven goals and provided five assists in 28 matches. He has increasingly found himself on the bench, and in ten appearances (six as a substitute) he has not scored or assisted.

His contract in Istanbul runs until 2028.

It remains to be seen whether Sané will move to MLS or Saudi Arabia. His last international appearance came at the 2026 World Cup exit against Paraguay.
