Leicester City Louis Page FA Cup, Digi Mart USA News: With memories of watching Leicester City lift the Emirates FA Cup in 2021, Foxes midfielder Louis Page is dreaming of success in this season’s competition ahead of the club’s first-round tie against non-League Oxford City on Friday night.

An England under-20 international, Page made his senior debut for Leicester in August 2025 and has become a regular for the Foxes in League One this season.

Attention now turns to the Emirates FA Cup, with Page expecting a tricky encounter when the East Midlands side travel to National League North outfit Oxford City, a fixture that can be watched live on TNT Sports.

“It will be a difficult challenge,” says the 18-year-old. “We’re going to them, they’re a physical side and they will give it everything.

I think we just have to give the same; match their intensity and their work rate. Hopefully we’ll do enough to come away with the win.”

Page has impressed in central midfield for the Foxes this season.

“These cup games are a good opportunity to test yourself against different sides and create a good feeling around the club and within the group. It’s definitely a competition we’re taking seriously and we’re looking to go as far as possible.”

Leicester have reached the final four times, in 1949, 1961, 1963 and 1969, before lifting the FA Cup trophy after a 137-year wait in 2021. They defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley Stadium, with Youri Tielemans’ stunning long-range strike proving the decisive goal.

“Leicester were the underdogs,” Page reflects when discussing Leicester’s FA Cup triumph five years ago. “Everybody probably expected Chelsea to come away with the win.

It was a brilliant moment for the club and hopefully we can repeat it one day.”

Tielemans’ stunning strike steered four-time runners-up Leicester City to their first-ever Emirates FA Cup title.

With a new FA Cup campaign set to begin for the Foxes, Page is hoping that Friday’s clash with Oxford City can be the start of another memorable run in the famous cup competition.

“It would be a dream come true to play at Wembley,” he says. “To win a trophy with Leicester, which I saw players doing while I was coming through the academy, that would be a dream.”

Oxford City v Leicester City can be watched on TNT Sports 1 and HBO Max this Friday, with coverage from 7pm ahead of the 7.45pm GMT kick-off.
