Therese Johaug marathon ambitions and Ingrid Kristiansen’s prediction, Digi Mart USA News: Former Norwegian cross-country skiing star Therese Johaug, 38, has drawn considerable attention recently for her marathon ambitions. Among those who have joined the debate is marathon legend Ingrid Kristiansen, 70.
Speaking to the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, the former record holder expressed little belief that Johaug could break her Norwegian marathon record. Kristiansen also offered a time estimate for Johaug’s planned race in Valencia in December.
The comments have not gone unnoticed by Johaug. Her competitive instincts have been stirred, and she has responded on the podcast “Gukild og Johaug.”
“Then I can say right away to Ingrid, that I am seriously disappointed,” Johaug said.
