F1 GP Brazil 2026 second free practice results, Digi Mart USA News (São Paulo, Brazil): As in the first free practice session in Brazil, Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen occupied the top three positions in the second session. The gaps to the drivers behind them were slightly smaller, but the trio confirmed early in the session that they have the car well under control at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace Interlagos.
Antonelli held a clear advantage over his immediate rivals, finishing two and a half tenths ahead of Norris and Verstappen. The gap between second and third place was only six thousandths of a second when the drivers shifted their focus to long runs.
Light rain had been falling intermittently during the session, and towards the end visibility became increasingly limited by mist, yet the track remained busy. Verstappen’s long runs looked strong, although those of his rivals were also competitive.
No lap-time improvements were recorded during this part of the session.
Verstappen ended his session about five minutes before the scheduled finish, stepping out of the car while work was carried out on it. It is not entirely clear what the issue was, but he still finished in a solid third place, behind Antonelli in P1 and Norris in P2.
He also finished ahead of George Russell in P4 and Oscar Piastri in P5.
