Cold front No. 4 Brings Heavy Rain, Strong Winds and Falling Temperatures to Mexico, Digi Mart USA News (Veracruz, Mexico): Heavy rain, wind gusts and a drop in temperatures are forecast for Saturday, November 7, in various regions of Mexico, due to the strengthening of cold front No. 4 and its interaction with other weather systems.

According to the forecast from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the frontal system will extend over the north, northeast and east of the country, while a low-pressure trough and incoming moisture will favor precipitation in the southeast and other regions.

Heavy rain is forecast for Veracruz, with accumulations of between 25 and 50 millimeters, mainly in the northern part of the state. Minimum temperatures could also drop to between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas.

The most intense rainfall is expected in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, with accumulations of between 75 and 150 millimeters. Very heavy rain, between 50 and 75 millimeters, is forecast for Chihuahua and Chiapas.

Strong rain is also forecast for Sonora, Sinaloa, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Guerrero.

In terms of temperatures, mountainous areas of Baja California, Chihuahua and Durango could record values between -5 and 0 degrees Celsius, while mountainous regions of Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, the State of Mexico and Oaxaca are expected to see minimums between 0 and 5 degrees.

The forecast also includes wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour in the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec, as well as waves of 2 to 3 meters along the western coast of Baja California and the Gulf of Tehuantepec.

Given these conditions, authorities recommend exercising extreme caution due to possible flooding, stream swelling, landslides in mountainous areas and reduced visibility on roads.

HIGH MOUNTAINS: Colder conditions are expected in the mountainous regions of Veracruz during the early morning hours and at night, so precautions are recommended against the drop in temperatures.
