Carlos Zurita Ixtapaluca 4T municipal coordinator race, Digi Mart USA News (Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico): Deputy Carlos Zurita said recent surveys are favorable to his aspirations to become the municipal coordinator of the Fourth Transformation (4T) in Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico, a internal process in which he is participating while continuing his legislative work in the state.
In an interview with Héctor Jiménez for Heraldo Televisión, the legislator said he is keeping his attention on the internal process and is confident of a favorable result, backed by territorial work he said he has carried out over the past six years in various neighborhoods, villages and housing complexes in Ixtapaluca. “We are focused on Ixtapaluca.
The movement has called on us to win a survey, and we are doing very well according to the latest measurements we have,” Zurita said. He added that the municipal coordinations could be defined during the second half of December.
Zurita explained that his presence in Ixtapaluca has been built through an organization by electoral sections, neighborhoods, villages and housing complexes, and by maintaining contact with various social sectors, including transport workers, teachers’ unions, mothers of students, community leaders and athletes. “We have organized neighborhood by neighborhood, village by village, housing complex by housing complex, electoral section by electoral section,” the lawmaker said, describing this territorial structure as one of his main sources of support in the internal 4T process.
Regarding the selection method for the municipal coordinations, Zurita said the surveys will not be limited to measuring the popularity of aspirants, but will also consider their honesty, closeness to the party and fulfillment of commitments. “The survey doesn’t only ask whether you know someone; the most popular person won’t win on popularity alone, because it also has methodological criteria that ask whether you consider them honest, close to the party, and whether they keep or don’t keep their promises,” he explained.
The deputy expressed confidence in this selection mechanism, noting that he knows how it works from his experience as a founding member of the party. He also reiterated that he will continue his legislative responsibilities while the various stages of the internal process unfold.
