Mexican mango industry international expert forum in Oaxaca, Digi Mart USA News (Oaxaca, Mexico): An event in Oaxaca will bring together researchers, producers, exporters and international specialists to analyze the challenges facing Mexico’s mango sector. Topics include climate change, plant health, technological innovation and strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of Mexican mango in international markets.
One of the main attractions will be the international roundtable “Global Perspectives for Mexican Mango,” featuring experts from five countries and moderated by international agri-food journalist Francisco Seva Rivadulla. The program will also include a presentation on strategies to position Mexican mango in global markets, addressing internationalization, commercial promotion and new export opportunities.
The day will also feature the IAP National Panel, focused on science, plant health and innovation, as well as the presentation of the CIRSA A.C. Research Center and the Zanatepec Plan 2027–2030, aimed at agricultural production development for mango in Oaxaca.
The meeting, with the participation of Ingenieros Agrónomos Parasitólogos de México (IAP) and the collaboration of the Municipality of Santo Domingo Zanatepec, will be held in hybrid format and can be followed live on the YouTube channel Mangos México.
Beyond the exchange of experiences and knowledge, the event comes at a time when Mexico’s mango industry faces significant challenges related to climate change, phytosanitary requirements, growing international competition and the need to diversify its trade destinations. In this context, Oaxaca will become a meeting point to reflect on the future of an industry that needs to combine innovation, sustainability and an increasingly international commercial vision.
The real challenge will be turning the conclusions of this event into concrete initiatives that improve producer competitiveness, strengthen export capacity and open new opportunities for Mexican mango in world markets.
