INE complaint to FGR over possible irregularities in public resources, Digi Mart USA News: The Mexican National Electoral Institute (INE) has filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) requesting an investigation into possible irregularities related to the management of public resources. The complaint asks authorities to determine whether any conduct may constitute crimes.
Through this action, the electoral body seeks to have prosecutors examine the reported facts and, if sufficient evidence is found, establish corresponding responsibilities under current legislation.
The institute said filing the complaint fulfills its obligation to oversee the legality of resources allocated to its activities and to strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms. It also stated that these actions apply without distinction to individuals, positions, responsibilities or prior administrations.
As part of its institutional position, INE reiterated that it maintains a policy of zero tolerance toward any conduct that could affect the integrity of public resources or compromise the fulfillment of its constitutional functions.
Finally, the organization stressed the importance of having the facts reviewed by the competent authorities, so that any determination is made through the appropriate legal procedures.
