Eptingen BL car crash BMW rollover 17-year-old passenger killed, Digi Mart USA News (Eptingen, Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland): A 17-year-old passenger was killed in a serious traffic accident on the Bölchenstrasse in Eptingen on Saturday afternoon. Two other occupants were slightly injured in the crash.
The accident occurred on November 7, 2026, shortly before 11:15 a.m. on the route from Eptingen toward the Chilchzimmersattel.
A 25-year-old driver lost control of his black BMW on a right-hand bend shortly before the mountain pass.
The car left the road and apparently overturned before coming to rest on its roof in an adjacent meadow. The driver and his front-seat passenger sustained minor injuries.
Another passenger was so seriously injured that he died at the scene. The victim was a 17-year-old man.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Bölchenstrasse remained completely closed for several hours during recovery work and the accident investigation.
