Kingfishr surprise tour Limerick album release, Digi Mart USA News (Ireland): Kingfishr have announced a surprise tour of four cities in one day to celebrate their upcoming album release, and Limerick is on the list of stops. The concert stop is set for tomorrow.
The band, who say they consider Limerick to be their hometown despite being “blow-ins,” will also appear in Galway, Cork and Dublin this Saturday. The details were shared by the Instagram account That Concert Bible, which posted the contents of an email the band sent to fans who pre-saved ‘Weight of the Feather.’
The band, who reached fame across the country with their breakout hit ‘Killeagh,’ have performed around the world with their last album, ‘Halcyon.’ In the email, Kingfishr told fans they wanted their supporters to be the first to know about the visits. “We’re running around Ireland on Saturday to celebrate the new album.
We’re letting you know first here cause you’re sound,” the email said.
The band confirmed on its Instagram story on Friday evening that it will start in Galway at 10:30 a.m., then head to Limerick for 1:30 p.m. It will continue to Cork for 5 p.m.
and finish in Dublin at 9:30 p.m., describing the day as a very busy one on the road for the trio and their team.
It is unclear whether the visits will include live performances. In the email, the band advised fans to “keep an eye on socials,” where it will post the location for each pop-up.
Limerick fans will likely be watching closely to learn where the band will appear and whether it will play some of its new music.
