Jadson Viera Independiente future Clausura match against Deportivo Riestra: Jadson Viera's Future at Independiente: Coach Faces Possible Exit After Clausura Match Against Deportivo Riestra, with a December contract clause allowing the club to part ways without financial cost. Ivan Marcone returns as captain.

Jadson Viera Independiente future Clausura match against Deportivo Riestra, Digi Mart USA News: Independiente is fighting for its Torneo Clausura campaign, and a win over Deportivo Riestra at the Libertadores de America-Ricardo Enrique Bochini stadium would not only guarantee automatic qualification for the playoffs but also leave the club one step away from the international places in the annual table. Independiente still needs other results to go its way to return to continental competition.

Coach Jadson Viera is putting everything he has into the match against Malevo. The main news is the return of Ivan Marcone, who has completed his suspension for accumulating a fifth yellow card and will start.

The captain will replace the young Facundo Cruz and will play in midfield alongside Mateo Perez Curci.

The most notable move, however, is the inclusion of Imanol Machuca. The player made his debut for Rojo last Monday in a 1-1 draw against Defensa.

His debut coincided with the end of an unusual disciplinary sanction imposed by FIFA, which had suspended him in December of last year, a measure ratified in March, for falsifying documents to play for the Malaysia national team. His last start was on March 2 of this year, in a Velez-Estudiantes match, while he was playing for Velez.

He will return to the lineup this Friday after eight months.

The coach faces a separate test. Elimination from the Torneo Clausura would leave Viera out of Independiente.

The reason lies in a specific clause in his contract that allows the club to terminate it without financial consequences in December. The presidential elections, in which none of the three candidates, Gaston Gaudio, Luciano Nakis and Enrique Sacco, would choose to extend the agreement, will play a fundamental role.

Another factor weighing on the match is Independiente’s poor home form. The club has gone six consecutive home matches without a win.

That run includes heavy defeats to Gimnasia de Mendoza and Instituto. Its last home victory in Avellaneda came on July 30, a 1-0 win over Newell’s.
