Ben White England squad recall: Ben White Earns England Recall as Noni Madueke Misses Out: Arsenal defender Ben White has been recalled to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel after strong form, while winger Noni Madueke has been left out for a second successive month despite recent contributions for Arsenal.

Ben White England squad recall, Digi Mart USA News: Ben White has been recalled to the England squad after an impressive run of form for Arsenal, while Noni Madueke has been overlooked for the second successive month.

Ezri Konsa, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze have also been selected by Thomas Tuchel for this month’s fixtures against Croatia and Spain.

White’s inclusion marks his return to the international fold after a knee injury sustained in Arsenal’s pivotal 1-0 win at West Ham in May ended his hopes of making the World Cup squad. The defender had featured twice for England in March.

An eventful substitute appearance against Uruguay saw him score and concede a penalty, while also being booed by a section of the crowd seemingly still harboring a grudge over his departure from the 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar. He then played an hour against Japan.

Having worked his way back into contention for his country, White might well have gone to the World Cup had he stayed fit. His recent performances for Arsenal have now earned him another opportunity under Tuchel.

“He’s been brilliant,” said Arteta after the news on White’s selection. “I’m really happy with that and we know the history behind what happened with Ben.

He looked really happy and, yeah, it’s a moment that he’s earned and he needs to enjoy now.”

Madueke, meanwhile, can consider himself unfortunate to miss out. The winger has played regularly in Bukayo Saka’s absence, contributing two goals and an assist in his last six appearances, but that hasn’t been enough to secure a recall.

Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha appears to be among those preferred. An exciting prospect he may be, but Madueke’s recent contributions gave him a reasonable case for inclusion.

Still, five players in the England squad, more than the other ‘Big Six’ clubs combined, is reason for pride at London Colney.

“It’s a proud thing to have a big English core in the national team at our club,” said Arteta. “It’s something that is part of our identity.

Not only the number, but as well the players that represent us and the national team.”
