Guanajuato Tarjeta Rosa age range expansion 2027, Digi Mart USA News (Guanajuato, Mexico): The government of Guanajuato, through the Secretaría del Nuevo Comienzo, is keeping a proposal under technical and financial evaluation to expand coverage of the Tarjeta Rosa program to include women over 45 years of age.
Currently, the social assistance program is aimed only at mothers in Guanajuato between 25 and 45 years of age who complete the corresponding registration. The agency stated that the proposal to change the age eligibility for Tarjeta Rosa beneficiaries is still in the analysis phase.
Budget feasibility and the final new operating rules will be established at the end of 2026, if the expansion is approved in the Fiscal Income and Expenditure Package for fiscal year 2027. An increase in the number of beneficiaries would also require decisions on whether the payment amount would remain the same for all users and on the new budget to be allocated.
During 2026, Tarjeta Rosa provided a total economic support of 6,000 pesos to each user, distributed in several payments, along with a package of comprehensive services that includes preventive medical care and free legal advice, among other benefits.
Governor Libia Dennise García confirmed that there is an intention to increase the funds allocated to the support roster, subject to the availability of state resources.
