GNP México Major Premier Padel 2026 Acapulco, Digi Mart USA News (Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico): Details of the GNP México Major Premier Padel 2026 were presented at a press conference held at Punto México in Mexico City. The competition will take place from November 23 to 29 at the Arena GNP Seguros in Acapulco and will feature the best male and female players in the world.

Officials at the press conference included Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico; Rosy Pavón Flores, Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero; Jorge Mañé, president of Premier Padel México; and Seyed Rezvani, general director of Grupo Mundo Imperial. They described the reach and importance of the international competition.

The organizers estimate that more than 35,000 attendees will arrive for this edition, generating an economic impact of more than 250 million pesos. The tournament will also be broadcast in 247 countries, which is expected to project the image of Acapulco and Guerrero internationally.

The event is part of the Major category, the most important tier of the Premier Padel circuit.

Pavón Flores highlighted the support of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda for international sporting events that strengthen tourism and generate economic benefits for Guerrero. She reaffirmed the state’s commitment to continue promoting events of this scale and said, “Acapulco is ready to receive them!”

Rodríguez Zamora stressed the tourism relevance of the tournament and its impact beyond the sporting competition. She noted that the state government has hosted 94 events throughout the year, which has generated more than 76,000 room-nights, including on weekends when there might otherwise have been no reason to visit Acapulco.

Mañé described the tournament as a significant international event and an honor for Mexico to host one of the four Major tournaments on the circuit, the only one in the Americas. He added that organizers expect more than 100 million television viewers and an audience across 281 territories worldwide.

Rezvani highlighted the coordination among the state government, the tournament organizing team and Grupo Mundo Imperial in making the global event possible. Pavón Flores also cited progress in the port’s tourism recovery, which she attributed to coordinated work between federal and state governments and the business sector.

She reported that Acapulco currently has 17,555 hotel rooms across 313 establishments, representing close to 90% of the capacity it had before Hurricane Otis.

She emphasized that events such as the México Major Premier Padel help build confidence, boost the economy and consolidate the port as one of the country’s leading tourist destinations.
