La France insoumise 2027 presidential program: La France insoumise Unveils 1,069-Measure 2027 Presidential Program Centered on Ecological Planning: The far-left movement releases its updated platform ahead of a major Paris-region rally, with 238 new measures, eco-regions, a higher minimum wage, a restored retirement age of 60, and a call to exit NATO.

La France insoumise 2027 presidential program, Digi Mart USA News (France): La France insoumise is releasing a new version of its 2027 presidential program on Friday, the day before a major rally in the Paris region. The edition follows earlier programs of rupture, with a particular emphasis on ecology.

“Everything in our program is built around ecological planning; it is the starting point of our action,” said lawmaker Hadrien Clouet, who co-leads the program with Clémence Guetté. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, in his introduction, said the goal is to “perpetuate human life.” The book version, “L’Avenir en commun,” will sell for 4.90 euros in bookstores starting Friday.

The movement denounces “capitalism that is driving us straight into the wall.” La France insoumise proposes creating “eco-regions,” an administrative overhaul in which regions would be organized around the country’s ecological features, such as watersheds, mountains and coastlines. The party also wants a “council for ecological planning” to oversee the “relocalization of essential production,” and to enshrine the “green rule” in the Constitution, under which nature should not be drawn on more than it can regenerate.

Exiting nuclear power remains part of the platform.

In total, the program contains 1,069 measures, 238 of them new. Manuel Bompard, the party’s national coordinator, said the program represents continuity and refinement of serious programmatic work.

Its traditional proposals include raising the minimum wage (Smic) to 1,700 euros net, a “100% Sécu” health coverage plan, and abolishing the pension reform, with a return to retirement at 62 and a restored right to retire at 60 with a full pension after 40 years of contributions.

Paul Vannier, another party lawmaker, said the movement has worked harder than in previous campaigns on implementing the program. Mélenchon is, for the first time in four presidential elections, projected by polls to qualify for the second round.

To build credibility, the movement drew during the campaign on a network of 80 senior civil servants called “les Phrygiens,” who help refine how the program would be implemented, according to Guetté.

Guetté recently published a book arguing for new social rights that would give friendship real legal status. Building on that idea, the party aims to “end the epidemic of loneliness,” a theme also emphasized by ecologist candidate Marine Tondelier, by ending the privatization and destruction of common and public spaces.

A “single-parent family” status, similar to that of “large families,” would also be created to qualify for transport discounts.

On international affairs, the party maintains its policy of “non-alignment.” It intends to organize France’s withdrawal from NATO and to “take France out of Western isolation.” On the Middle East, the movement, which presents itself as the spokesperson for the Palestinian cause in France, says it will still work to “enforce the arrest warrant” against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to suspend the EU-Israel association agreement.

While it remains committed to a two-state solution, the party calls for considering other ways of guaranteeing the internationally recognized individual and collective rights of Palestinians, such as an egalitarian binational state. This demand has been voiced in particular by MEP Rima Hassan since she joined the movement before the 2024 European elections.

La France insoumise and Mélenchon will present the program on Saturday at a large rally in Le Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis). The program’s financing is to be revealed in early 2027.
