Cuautitlán Izcalli marijuana arrests, Digi Mart USA News (Cuautitlán Izcalli, México): State security officers from the Secretaría de Seguridad del Estado de México (SSEM) detained two men for their probable involvement in incidents appearing to be drug-related offenses. Officers also found that one of the men had an active arrest warrant for aggravated homicide.
The arrests took place in the Niños Héroes neighborhood, where state police were conducting security patrols. According to the report, officers observed two individuals who suddenly changed direction and tried to avoid the uniformed officers when they noticed the police presence.
Officers stated that this behavior, based on a behavioral analysis, created a reasoned and objective suspicion.
After catching up with the individuals, state officers carried out a security inspection in line with established protocols. During the search, they located 10 clear plastic bags containing green, dried vegetable matter with characteristics similar to marijuana.
A query of the individuals in the State Unified Criminal Information System (SUICE) showed that José “N”, 29, had an active arrest warrant for aggravated homicide related to events from 2019. José “N” and Jonathan “N”, 20, were detained and placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to determine their legal status and, where applicable, to carry out the judicial order.
