Zinedine Zidane France squad Nations League Italy Turkey Kylian Mbappe, Digi Mart USA News: Zinedine Zidane will unveil his second France squad since taking charge of the national team this Friday at 6 p.m. The list will face Italy on November 12 and Turkey on November 15 in the UEFA Nations League.
Kylian Mbappe, who had to leave the previous training camp because of a knee injury, is expected to be included. The Real Madrid forward could also return to his position as the central striker for France.
During Zidane’s first match in Turkey, Mbappe started on the left, with the new coach preferring Ousmane Dembele in the middle. Zidane said about his captain roughly a month ago that Dembele is able to play in all three attacking positions and that he personally likes him on the left.
Dembele is currently injured and is not expected to be called up this time. Daniel Riolo, speaking on RMC, said he believes Mbappe will return to the striker role, arguing that he is no longer motivated by the left-wing position and that there is no better player for the center in France.
Riolo also said Mbappe’s recent difficulties are not only related to his position but also to the collective balance of his former clubs. He argued that Mbappe needs a well-structured team to fully express his potential, noting that this was lacking at Paris Saint-Germain and was only gradually built at Real Madrid after his arrival.
