Rodez women’s Coupe de France draw at Bourges, Digi Mart USA News (Aveyron, France): Rodez women were not spared by the draw. At the first federal round of the women’s Coupe de France, the club will travel to Bourges on November 22.
Rodez, under coach Karima Taïeb, will therefore visit a Seconde Ligue side that is entering the competition at this stage. Rodez, relegated to Division 3, reached this level after winning two rounds, beating Montbazens-Rignac (Division 2) 12-0 and then Béziers 8-0.
Rodez will now play the role of underdog against a team from a higher division. The hierarchy does not favor them, although their current form is good, with four consecutive wins and a fourth-place finish in their group.
Bourges, promoted to the second tier, sits last in its league with only one win from six matchdays. The winner of this tie will host Albi-Marssac (Division 3), which received a direct qualification to the next round.
The second federal round leads to the round of 16, where Première Ligue clubs enter the competition.
