Coupe de France and Trophée des Champions exhibition at Centre Historique Minier de Lewarde, Digi Mart USA News (Lewarde, France): After stops at the Louvre-Lens, the Hôtel de Ville and the Maison syndicale des mineurs de Lens, the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions, both won by the Sang et or club, are continuing their tour. For four days, visitors will be able to see them up close at the Centre Historique Minier de Lewarde.

The event is organised in partnership with Racing Club de Lens and Cœur d’Ostrevent Agglo. Its aim is to bring together two defining elements of the region’s identity: its mining heritage and its passion for football.

The two have long been linked in the Bassin minier, where many miners played the sport, some at the highest level.

To mark the Sainte-Barbe celebrations, the Centre Historique Minier is opening its museum and exhibitions free of charge. Visitors can see both trophies while learning about the history of the mines and the people who worked in them.

To extend the experience, visitors may also take a guided tour of the mine galleries for €8.70.

The museum closes two hours after the queue closes. Access to the trophies, the museum and the exhibitions is free during these four days.
