Torsten Yngveson leaves Bik Karlskoga after 14 years as sporting director, Digi Mart USA News (Karlskoga, Sweden): Torsten Yngveson has announced that this season will be his last as sporting director of Hockey Allsvenskan club Bik Karlskoga, ending a tenure that began in 2012.
In a statement on the club’s website, Yngveson said it had become increasingly difficult to mobilize the energy the job requires. “The fairest thing, both toward myself and toward the club close to my heart, is therefore to hand over to someone else,” he said.
The 53-year-old said the focus now is on preparing the club for the coming season.
Bik Karlskoga AB chairman Mats Boquist said the club was sad to see Yngveson leave but respected his decision. “Torsten has been the most successful sporting director in Hockey Allsvenskan during his years at Bik Karlskoga and will not be easy to replace,” Boquist said.
Karlskoga is currently in eighth place in Hockey Allsvenskan after 17 rounds.
