The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 4 premiere date: The final season of the spinoff is set to arrive on AMC and AMC+ in February 2027, after a delay from its usual September slot. The eight-episode run will close the story of Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier, marking the end of an era for the franchise.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 4 premiere date, Digi Mart USA News: AMC’s Walking Dead franchise has been a fixture of television for almost two decades, and fans recently marked the 17th anniversary of the original series. The franchise still has future projects in development at AMC within the TWD Universe.

Before those projects arrive, the fourth and final season of the spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will bring the collective story of two of the franchise’s most beloved characters to a close. Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier return for one final adventure, marking the end of an era for the franchise.

The long-awaited fourth season is set to arrive on AMC and AMC+ in February 2027. That is later than fans expected, since the show had previously followed a typical September release slot, but the premiere is now about four months away.

AMC had previously confirmed that the show would return with new episodes this year, but the studio later changed course. Star Norman Reedus announced that the season would be delayed until next year, and the cable network then confirmed a February arrival.

No official reason for the delay has been given.

Daryl Dixon season 4 wrapped production at the end of 2025, after filming in close succession with the third season, which premiered in September 2025. The timing appears to be a creative choice that gives the franchise a ready-made show for 2027, extending its 17-year streak of annual content.

The fourth season will be the final season of Daryl Dixon. The story follows Daryl and Carol’s journey through Europe toward their eventual return to the United States.

As things stand, it is the last confirmed TWD series on the immediate horizon, since AMC has not yet renewed The Walking Dead: Dead City for a fourth season.

Future plans for the franchise are expected to look very different from the current phase, and the delay gives the creative team more time to define the next chapter.

Fans are uncertain whether the season will mark the end for both characters. Norman Reedus is reportedly in talks to return to the franchise in the near future, while Melissa McBride has said she will take a break after the show concludes.

Carol’s run in the franchise dates back to the third episode of The Walking Dead in 2010.

Rumors also suggest that Andrew Lincoln may reprise his role as Rick Grimes in the series finale, welcoming Daryl and Carol back to Alexandria. The eight-episode final season is expected to deliver emotional moments as the pair battle walkers and human threats on their way home.
