Aitana Superestrella Auditorio Nacional concert Mexico City, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City): Transformed into a “Superestrella,” Aitana electrified the Auditorio Nacional on Thursday night with a performance that moved between intimacy, sensuality and pop euphoria. The track, which has become one of her biggest hits, was also the high point of an evening in which the Spanish singer opened her personal universe to thousands of followers who did not stop singing along.
The first of her three dates in Mexico City began with “6 de febrero” and “Segundo intento.” Dressed in pink and accompanied by her dancers, she delivered a choreography that emphasized movement, sensuality and lighting effects as central elements of the show. The audience response was so strong that at times the crowd’s chorus rose above the singer’s own vocals.
Between songs, Aitana expressed her happiness at being in the Mexican capital. “I’m so happy, I’ve been resting for a few days because I’ve had some free days here in this city, for me one of the best in the world, because honestly how beautiful Mexico is, how beautiful Mexico City is,” she said.
The stage recreated the bedroom that gives its name to her album Cuarto Azul, an emotional refuge where the singer revisits memories, heartbreaks and new ways of seeing herself. A book by Mexican writer Valeria Luiselli also appeared on the bed, a work that similarly deals with the possibility of rebuilding oneself after a difficult period.
Closeness with fans was also a highlight. Aitana came down from the stage to sing among the front rows, receive gifts and take photographs; one fan photo showed her dressed as a mariachi.
The singer also recalled that she first came to Mexico very young, at the beginning of her career.
After moving through different stages of her repertoire, Aitana built toward the final stretch with “La chica perfecta” and “Conexión psíquica,” before reaching the climax with “Superestrella.” At that point the Auditorio became a massive celebration, with thousands of voices joining the song as the singer reached the most explosive moment of the performance.
