Priverno dog rescue from cave, Digi Mart USA News (Priverno, Latina province, Italy): Rescue operations to recover a dog trapped in a natural cavity in the municipality of Priverno, in the province of Latina, have concluded successfully.
The animal was recovered alive after roughly 20 hours of work by technicians from the Italian National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps, supported by the Fire Brigade.
The operation began on Thursday, November 5, at the request of firefighters, who had already been attempting to recover the animal for several hours. The complexity of the cavity and the impossibility of reaching the dog with traditional techniques made it necessary to involve the specialized Alpine and Speleological Rescue teams.
