Princess Sofia to attend children’s safety meeting in Stockholm, Digi Mart USA News (Stockholm, Sweden): Princess Sofia, who focused on being at home with her daughter Ines, 1, last year, has this year begun returning to her royal duties. She now has a particularly moving engagement ahead concerning children.

Together with Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia founded the couple’s foundation after their wedding in 2015. The organization works actively to counter bullying, violence and online hate.

Its vision is that all children and young people should feel safe.

“It is so important that we together create the conditions for children and young people to be safe online. No one should have to live with threats and hatred,” Princess Sofia said on the foundation’s website.

In late November, Princess Sofia will again have the opportunity to highlight her core cause. She has been invited to a meeting at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, where she will take part in the Friends foundation’s annual federation meeting for safer sports.

The aim is to create a safe sporting environment for children and young people.

After last year’s federation meeting, the Friends foundation emphasized why the gathering is so important and shared several insights.

“At Friends we know it is possible to create a sport that is safe and therefore good for all children, but to get there we need to cooperate, and that is exactly what happens when those of us who work with these issues come together and have time to talk with one another. When we are inspired by others’ successful concepts, dare to share what is challenging and difficult, find common ground, and gain new contacts or ideas to test in our own activities,” the foundation said on its social media platforms.

This year, Princess Sofia will therefore take part in discussions about a safer sporting environment for children and young people, while using her princess title to raise the issue and reach a wider audience.
