Mart Hoogkamer, Digi Mart USA News: Dutch singer Mart Hoogkamer is growing impatient with De Toppers, the Dutch vocal group, after months of silence following reports that he was a possible successor to Gerard Joling. He said that he has not been contacted by the group since the situation surrounding Gerard Joling developed.

Shownieuws reported a few weeks earlier that Mart Hoogkamer and Tino Martin would be the new faces of De Toppers, and a camera crew was sent to the villa of René Froger, where blacked-out vans were spotted and a photo shoot may have taken place. However, there has been no official announcement.

During a live interview on Shownieuws, presenter Dyantha Brooks asked about the status of De Toppers. Mart said he had not been called again and that the last talks took place a number of years ago.

He added that he could not explain the situation and that he had not heard from Tino Martin either.

Mart also said he is considering other options, including a possible appearance on Beste Zangers. He said that while De Toppers is the highest achievable goal in the Netherlands, he would not wait indefinitely for a call.
