Levi Davis disappearance in Barcelona, Digi Mart USA News (Barcelona, Spain): The mother of a British rugby union player who went missing during a trip to Spain has issued an emotional plea, four years after he disappeared without a trace.

Levi Davis, who played for Bath Rugby as a winger before signing with Ealing and later moving to Worthing, was last seen leaving a pub in Barcelona on 29 October 2022. His family reported him missing a week later.

His mother, Julie Davis from Birmingham, said as a child Levi was a “fun-loving, mischievous little boy” and that “light shone brightly” whenever he walked into any room. Missing People, the charity supporting the family, said: “Levi, if you are reading this, please get in touch.”

“Our service is non-judgemental, confidential, and free. We just want to provide you with the support you need and help you to be safe,” the charity added.

In a newly released video by the charity, Davis described her son as a “funny and genuinely caring type of person.” She recalled that he “would do anything to put a smile on people’s faces” and loved teasing his older brother Luke.

“Looking back now, it still makes me smile, those childhood memories,” she said. She added that no family should have to live with the experience of having a loved one missing.

“The uncertainty is heartbreaking. There are times when the emotional weight feels overwhelming.”

Levi, who was 24 and from Birmingham, had previously appeared in TV shows including X Factor Celebrity and Celebs Go Dating. In the days before his disappearance, he had been in Ibiza working on music, before taking a boat to Barcelona on 29 October.

He was last seen on CCTV leaving the Old Irish Pub in the Spanish city. His last known contact with friends or family, a WhatsApp voice note, came after midnight on 30 October.

In 2024, police in Catalonia told the BBC that their investigation had “concluded” and that their “most plausible hypothesis” was that Levi had drowned at sea. His family have previously called for UK police to lead the investigation and have vowed to keep searching for answers.

Missing People has appealed for anyone with information about Levi’s disappearance to contact its helpline on 116 000.
