Tasmania JackJumpers vs New Zealand Breakers NBL preview, Digi Mart USA News (Launceston, Australia): The Tasmania JackJumpers are among the best teams in the National Basketball League so far this season. After beating the Phoenix last round with just six rostered players, a win on Friday night against the New Zealand Breakers would be even more impressive.
The game is at the Silverdome, where the JackJumpers have won just two of their last 11 games. Coach Scott Roth laughed off talk of a curse, but his team needs a win on its home court in Launceston to move past that discussion.
The New Zealand Breakers have gone from one of the league’s most promising and underrated teams to a side desperate for a victory. They have dropped their last four games and are struggling to recapture their early-season form.
Sam Mennenga has continued his breakout season, but the supporting players have struggled to find consistency.
Taking on Tasmania at home is no easy task this season. If the Breakers want any chance of finding success this season, they must find a way to win this game.
