FC Annecy Ligue 2 match at Boulogne-sur-Mer, Digi Mart USA News: Following a 3-0 defeat to Montpellier last weekend, FC Annecy lost their third consecutive home match. The team, coached by Laurent Guyot, had previously won two matches in a row, against Dunkerque (1-0) and Sochaux (3-1).
Annecy are, according to the report, the best team in the league away from home since the 2023-2024 season, with a total of 24 victories. Guyot said the team is better on the road in terms of results, but that he sees few differences in how they play at home and away.
“It is above all a question of efficiency,” he said.
Guyot acknowledged that the home record over the last three matches is disappointing. However, he noted that earning a point and a half per match since the start of the season is not bad.
He added that with one more win, the team would reach half of the points needed to secure survival, and stressed the importance of collecting them as quickly as possible.
Defender Jonathan Do Marcolino rejected the idea of a “Parc des Sports syndrome.” He said that against top-of-the-table teams such as Nancy (1-2) and Montpellier (0-3), everything comes down to details, which have not yet gone in Annecy’s favor. He said the objective is simply to take three points in every match, whether home or away.
