ATP Paris Masters quarterfinal predictions, Digi Mart USA News: The quarterfinals are set at the 2026 Rolex ATP Paris Masters and promise four exciting matches. Second seed Carlos Alcaraz advanced without playing his last match and will face Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals.

As always, the editors at Last Word On Tennis offer predictions for every match on the slate, but which players will win?

This is the most unexpected quarterfinal of the bunch. Rinky Hijikata defeated seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the second round and followed it with another comeback win against Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the third round.

French wild card Luca Van Assche produced one of the week’s biggest upsets, defeating Lorenzo Musetti in three sets to reach his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal. French fans will back Van Assche, but Hijikata’s ability to raise his level in big moments has been impressive, so the prediction goes with him.

Former World No. 2 Casper Ruud is in his second ATP Paris Masters quarterfinal after convincingly defeating the in-form Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round. Indoor hard courts are not Ruud’s favorite surface, but he is playing some of the best tennis of his season.

Lucky loser Nuno Borges has taken full advantage of his opportunity and has advanced without being broken in his three main-draw matches. Ruud lost to Borges recently in Basel and will be extra motivated to avenge that loss.

Third seed Ben Shelton came back from a set down to defeat Arthur Rinderknech in the third-set tiebreak. Rinderknech’s first serve kept him in the match, but Shelton was better behind the second serve, and it showed in the big moments.

Tommy Paul has been one of the standout players of this indoor hard-court swing, and it will be extremely difficult to beat him in this form. Shelton struggles to break serve, and Paul will chip numerous returns, which may provide opportunities.

The prediction backs the lower-ranked American in this clash.

Carlos Alcaraz received a walkover when Matteo Berrettini withdrew with arm pain, giving the Spaniard a valuable rest. The second seed has looked sharp in his opening match and remains the favorite for his maiden ATP Paris Masters title.

Taylor Fritz has won just one of seven matches against Alcaraz, but the fast indoor courts present a solid opportunity. If Fritz can serve well, he will put himself in a good position.

However, the head-to-head record gives the Spaniard the mental edge.
