TEPJF commemorative lottery ticket marking 30 years of electoral justice, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): The Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF) and Lotería Nacional unveiled a commemorative ticket for Sorteo Superior No. 2904 marking the 30th anniversary of the institution. The ticket, designed under the concept “30 years of close justice,” recognizes the tribunal’s trajectory as a key institution of the political system.

The unveiling took place at the Electoral Tribunal’s headquarters and was attended by Sala Superior magistrates Claudia Valle Aguilasocho, Felipe de la Mata Pizaña and Felipe Fuentes Barrera, along with tribunal president Gilberto Bátiz García and Lotería Nacional director general Olivia Salomón. Bátiz García said that over the past 30 years governments, parties, majorities and legislative compositions have changed, while the tribunal has continued to resolve the controversies of Mexico’s democracy and protect citizens’ rights.

Bátiz García stated that the tribunal’s essential responsibility remains to guarantee that competition for power follows rules, that votes are protected, that rights have a means of defense, and that conflicts are resolved through law rather than force. Salomón thanked the tribunal’s public servants and said the court has been present at decisive moments, helping protect citizens’ votes and expand political rights, including opening paths for more women and historically excluded sectors to participate in decisions.

De la Mata Pizaña noted that in 30 years the tribunal has certified five presidential elections won by three different political forces and resolved disputes over 10 federal legislative elections. Fuentes Barrera recalled that in 1996 Mexico took a fundamental step so that electoral disputes could find a judicial solution, responding to years of citizen demands and political competition.

Sorteo Superior No. 2904 will be held on Friday, November 13, with a top prize of 17 million pesos in two series and a total prize pool of 51 million pesos. Two million four hundred thousand tickets were issued and can be purchased through authorized sales points, miloteria.mx and the MiLotería app.

The draw will be broadcast on Lotería Nacional’s institutional YouTube channel, Sorteos Tradicionales.
