PEUA 2027 agricultural electricity subsidy enrollment in Mexico, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Mexico’s Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRICULTURA) reported that enrollment and re-enrollment for the Special Energy Program for the Field, covering electricity for agricultural use (PEUA), opened on Tuesday, November 3, for fiscal year 2027.
The process is part of coordinated actions with the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). The stated aim is to strengthen the agricultural sector and provide certainty to program beneficiaries.
Producers who are active in the PEUA 2026 registry and who completed their enrollment, re-enrollment or reinstatement, with their files duly complete and up to date, will be automatically enrolled to receive the energy fee subsidy during the coming year. This enrollment is subject to validation by AGRICULTURA’s Representation Offices in the States (OREF), in accordance with current regulations.
Producers whose national water concession titles have expired but who filed a timely extension request without yet receiving a resolution may request re-enrollment by presenting proof of payment for the corresponding procedure. The same provision applies to productive subjects who requested adherence to CONAGUA’s regularization decrees, including those published on October 28, 2025 and July 15, 2026, as well as to prior applicable resolutions.
In that case, producers must submit proof of payment of the adherence request.
AGRICULTURA said producers may receive the subsidy effective from January 1, 2027, once their procedure is completed between November 3 and December 18, 2026. Those who complete the process after the deadline will receive the benefit from the date they carry out the procedure, without the possibility of retroactive adjustments.
The federal government, through AGRICULTURA, CONAGUA and CFE, reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining institutional coordination to facilitate procedures, provide certainty to agricultural producers and support the continuity of the PEUA program, which the government says contributes to the development of Mexico’s countryside.
The Secretariat urged beneficiaries to stay informed through the official channels of participating agencies or by calling the 079 line (Government of Mexico Contact Center).
