Franck Leroy named deputy president of Régions de France, Digi Mart USA News (Grand Est, France): Grand Est regional president Franck Leroy (Horizons party) was designated Wednesday as deputy president of the association Régions de France. He succeeds Renaud Muselier (Renaissance), who resigned from his duties as president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regional council after being elected senator.
Leroy had previously served as treasurer of the association and will keep that role. With his appointment to the deputy presidency, he becomes the association’s true second-ranking official.
The association is chaired by Carole Delga (Socialist Party), president of the Occitanie regional council.
The deputy presidency of Régions de France is intended to maintain political balance within the association and among its 18 regional presidents who sit on it.
