Mexico highway blockades and road closures live update November 6, 2026, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Mexico’s road network is the main engine of mobility and commerce, but conditions on its highways can change minute by minute. On Friday, November 6, 2026, travelers on the country’s major highways need to plan ahead for possible disruptions, ranging from routine maintenance to accidents and protests that interrupt traffic flow.

The publisher says it is monitoring official reports from Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE), including the status of major toll plazas, partial or full closures and any incidents affecting the country’s busiest routes. Recommended alternate routes and estimated wait times are also being tracked throughout the day.

Among the reported incidents, a partial closure on the Querétaro-Irapuato highway at kilometer 76, heading toward Querétaro, involves lane reductions while an accident is cleared. Traffic is heavy in the area, and drivers are urged to proceed with caution.

On the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway, lanes are reduced at the Palo Blanco toll plaza, heading toward Cuernavaca, after a crash against the toll booth structure. On the Guadalajara-Colima highway at kilometer 7, lanes 03 and 04 of the Acatlán toll plaza are affected by a rear-end collision.

On the Acatzingo-Ciudad Mendoza highway at kilometer 225, traffic is closed while a jackknifed tractor-trailer is removed. Separately, the publisher reports a full closure on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway at kilometer 80 due to protesters blocking the entrance and exit ramps to Cuernavaca at the La Paloma de la Paz roundabout.

Other reports include rain alerts on the Isla-Cosoleacaque and Córdoba-Veracruz highways, with drivers advised that wet pavement can significantly increase braking distances. Maintenance work is also reported on the Tulancingo-Nueva Necaxa bypass and the Tihuatlán-Tuxpan highway, and protesters were present on the Mexico-Puebla highway at the San Marcos toll plaza without a full closure.

The publisher notes that several incidents have been cleared and traffic has returned to normal on some stretches, including sections of the Estación Don-Navojoa, Querétaro-Irapuato, Cuernavaca-Acapulco and Mexico-Puebla highways. Drivers are advised to check official CAPUFE updates before traveling and to follow posted traffic instructions.
