FGR arrest warrants Inés Gómez Mont 2,450 million pesos, Digi Mart USA News: Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) has confirmed the issuance of three arrest warrants against Inés Gómez Mont for organized crime, operations with funds of illicit origin and equated tax fraud. According to the report, the former television host was detained on October 30 in Florida by immigration authorities.
The report says Gómez Mont is currently held at the Broward Transitional Center while awaiting a possible deportation to Mexico. The case involves alleged contracts worth 2,450 million pesos with the Decentralized Administrative Body for Prevention and Social Readaptation, according to the publisher.
Authorities have reportedly been investigating this alleged diversion scheme for years while Gómez Mont was outside the country. The FGR has stated that the warrants were issued by federal judges and are ready to be activated if her deportation to Mexico is carried out.
Prosecutor Ernestina Godoy Ramos said the institution has been working to ensure the former host faces Mexican justice. The report notes that a February 2025 special broadcast of Ventaneando, in which Pati Chapoy mentioned a condolence message from Gómez Mont, drew attention on social media because she reportedly had an active arrest warrant at that time.
The publisher adds that Gómez Mont did not appear in person at that broadcast and that her last direct participation was a video call during the program’s anniversary celebration on January 22, 2021. Her last stable television project, the reality show Familias frente al fuego, reportedly ended in August 2019, around when the investigations against her began.
