Colapinto Eyes Redemption at 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix

Franco Colapinto Brazilian Grand Prix 2026: Argentine driver Franco Colapinto aims for a stronger race at Interlagos after a penalty cost him points at the Mexican Grand Prix. This weekend marks his third visit to the Sao Paulo circuit, where he has previously faced retirement and a fifteenth-place finish.

Franco Colapinto Brazilian Grand Prix 2026, Digi Mart USA News (São Paulo, Brazil): Argentine driver Franco Colapinto will have a chance at redemption at the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he hopes to produce a race similar to his performance with Alpine in Mexico. In Mexico, he was classified eighth on track, but a penalty dropped him to fifteenth and left him without points.

Colapinto, from Pilar, is preparing for the 20th round of the championship, which will take place this weekend at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, in São Paulo. The Brazilian circuit presents a particular challenge for the Argentine driver, as it will be his third visit, and his previous two appearances did not end well.

In 2024, while racing for Williams, he was forced to retire on lap 32 after a heavy crash in the rain. He lost control of his car, spun, and hit the barriers, causing significant damage to the vehicle.

A year later, driving for Alpine, he finished in fifteenth place.

All activity for the 20th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season can be followed on Fox Sports and Disney+ Premium.
