Cantabrian companies Mexico trade mission, Digi Mart USA News (Cantabria, Spain): Eight companies from Cantabria will take part from November 9 to 13 in a multisector trade mission to Mexico. The mission is organized by the Regional Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade through SODERCAN, together with the Cantabria Chamber of Commerce, as part of the first Internationalization Plan.

The business delegation includes Viavox Interactive, Innovation Handling Services (IHS), Mecanizados Emecan, Autoflex-Knott Ibérica, Setelsa Security, Hiflunecan, Consulting Informático de Cantabria (CIC) and Asesoría Informática de Torrelavega – AIT Tech Venture. Representatives of SODERCAN and the Cantabria Chamber of Commerce will accompany the companies during the mission.

The delegation reflects a diverse range of Cantabria’s business sector, with a notable presence of technology and industrial companies. Viavox Interactive develops digital solutions, interactive experiences and communication technology, while CIC works in digital transformation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, industrial digitization and business management.

Setelsa Security specializes in electronic security systems, surveillance, access control and technology solutions for infrastructure protection. The industrial side is represented by Autoflex-Knott Ibérica, a manufacturer of components for trailers, caravans and automotive applications, and Mecanizados Emecan, which focuses on precision machining and industrial components.

AIT Tech Venture, a technology consultancy, focuses on software development, digital transformation and the implementation of advanced business tools.

The central focus of the mission is a series of in-person meetings tailored to each company’s profile and objectives, with potential Mexican clients or importers. The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico has prepared these individualized agendas.

Activity begins Monday, November 9, with a meeting at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the delivery of the agendas.

Meetings will continue over the following days, with possible trips to other Mexican cities depending on the contacts established for each company. The mission also includes opportunities to explore technological cooperation and innovation, with planned contacts with CDTI to discuss possible support instruments and technological collaboration and internationalization opportunities.

Another highlight of the week will take place on November 11, coinciding with the 4th FIDBAN Mexico Investment Round, held at the Casa de Cantabria in Mexico City. The delegation’s presence will allow it to promote Cantabrian businesses and make contact with Mexican entrepreneurs, investors and institutions.

The mission also includes actions to promote Cantabria’s agri-food offering and the region’s image in Mexico. Overall, the initiative combines company-specific commercial agendas with institutional, business and networking meetings aimed at expanding Cantabria’s presence and economic relations in the Mexican market.

The mission is part of the 2026 International Promotion Actions Plan and aims to give Cantabrian companies supported access to the Mexican market, providing contacts matched to their commercial needs and objectives. SODERCAN finances 70% of the cost of the work agendas, and eligible companies may also apply for travel expense support under the New Markets Prospecting and Internationalization aid program.
