Ille-sur-Têt France Services renovated space, Digi Mart USA News (Ille-sur-Têt, Pyrénées-Orientales, France): The France Services office at 3 rue de Bourdeville inaugurated its redesigned space on Tuesday, November 3, after nine months of renovation work that began in February. The total budget was 14,000 euros, of which 7,000 euros was financed by the Banque des Territoires.
The Roussillon Conflent community of municipalities applied to the Call for Expressions of Interest AMI LILA, “Innovative Places, Welcoming Places,” following a reorganization of the entire service that began in July 2025. The goal was to rework signage to make it easier to find one’s way through the building and to improve the simultaneous handling of visitors across the reception area, confidential consultation spaces and the digital space.
Léa Hertzog, head of France Services, explained: “The teams tended to hold interviews even though our mission is to provide support on digital matters in the shared space. We therefore created a waiting area to ensure the confidentiality of people in the digital space and to delineate the spaces.
We can now carry out our missions under optimal conditions and simultaneously.”
Robert Olive, president of the Roussillon Conflent community of municipalities, cut the ribbon alongside Patrice Vila, mayor of Néfiach and vice-president delegated to France Services, and Pierre Regnault de la Mothe, prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales. Valérie Marty, director general of services of the community of municipalities, and Sophie Miégeville, sub-prefect of the Prades arrondissement, also attended.
Describing himself as a “staunch defender of public service,” Olive recalled the history of the site: “We very quickly ramped up in terms of support staff because of the traffic of 50 visits per day. In 2020, we were among the first four France Services houses to be labeled.
The Ille-sur-Têt France Services team is a tight-knit team of four people around Léa Hertzog, the head, and what great efficiency!”
Prefect Regnault de la Mothe said France Services houses are a very positive example in user satisfaction surveys. “This is a great success, and I congratulate the elected officials who set up this initiative, as well as the head and the advisers.
Despite digitization, maintaining human reception has great value. I sincerely hope that the 33 France Services houses that form a good network in the department will continue to adapt to users’ needs,” he concluded.
