DKV Mobility electric truck charging card, Digi Mart USA News: DKV Mobility has launched a charging card for electric heavy-duty trucks, marking another step toward decarbonized heavy transport. The company says the card provides access to 620 charging points for electric trucks in France, covering the full public and semi-public network.
The card also gives access to 3,000 truck charging points across 17 European countries. According to the publisher, the DKV Card +Charge Truck offers a single billing arrangement that consolidates electric charging, fossil and alternative fuels including CNG, LNG and HVO, as well as truck washing and other vehicle services.
Christophe Bosca, sales director for field operations at DKV Mobility, said that as carriers shift to electric vehicles, they must manage increasingly diverse energy needs and demanding operations. He said the card combines fuels, electricity and services on one card with a single invoice, allowing carriers to focus on their core business.
The article notes that truck charging stations must meet strict standards, including a minimum clearance height of 4 meters, a lane width of at least 2.7 meters and at least 9 meters of length for maneuvering. DKV says it checks each charging point against these criteria, and 80% of the selected sites offer charging power above 300 kW.
Philippe Dos Santos, director of Fleet and eMobility France at DKV Mobility, said electrification of heavy vehicles depends on simple, reliable charging solutions suited to operational constraints. He said real-time station information in the company’s app gives carriers greater visibility and confidence in integrating electric trucks into daily operations.
