Younes Idder PSG Troyes call-up, Digi Mart USA News (Paris): After a 6-0 win at Villarreal on Tuesday in the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain host Troyes on Saturday at 9:05 p.m. local time in Matchday 10 of Ligue 1.
Luis Enrique must make do without Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Maghnes Akliouche, all injured, while Achraf Hakimi is rested.
The match offers a chance for several young players to appear in the squad, including Younes Idder. At just 18, the attacking midfielder receives his first official senior call-up with the first team.
Born in the capital, he joined PSG at age 12 and steadily worked his way up the youth ranks.
After a standout season at U17 level, he took part in the Championnat de France and Coupe Gambardella double with the U19s, scoring in the final against Montpellier (3-2). This season he has taken a further step forward, with one goal and three assists in four Youth League matches.
Luis Enrique already knows him, having given him half an hour in a friendly against Mallorca in August.
Versatile as a midfielder, deep-lying playmaker, right winger or even striker, the young Parisian is valued by Luis Enrique for his flexibility. Comfortable on the ball, able to withstand pressure and break lines, he likes to take on defenders and push forward toward goal.
A Moroccan under-18 international and cousin of Aymen Assab, who joined Monaco this summer, Idder has not yet signed his first professional contract. Yet after the promising beginnings of David Boly, the question is whether he could be the next young PSG player to make his mark.
