Albert Grønbæk HSV Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1 win, Digi Mart USA News: Albert Grønbæk had plenty of reason to smile this week. The 25-year-old Danish player was named to the national team earlier in the week, and on Friday evening he followed that up with an outstanding performance for HSV.
In the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the former AGF talent played a decisive role in the home side’s victory. After an hour of play, Grønbæk first took on the role of playmaker, finding Shafiq Nandja with a cross-field pass that made it 2-1 to HSV.
Ten minutes later, the Dane stole the headlines himself. From about 30 meters out, Grønbæk drove the ball directly into the net, scoring a genuine dream goal.
With the result, the Dane made a significant mark on HSV’s 3-1 victory, which lifts the Hamburg club to eighth place in the Bundesliga.
Across all competitions this season, Grønbæk now has three goals and four assists to his name.
