Jessica Alba Max Mara Face of the Future Party style, Digi Mart USA News (Los Angeles): Jessica Alba’s style has evolved over the years. Early in her career she relied on Old Hollywood looks to be “taken seriously,” but she tells InStyle that her current looks are much more laidback.
“I’ve definitely gotten more liberal with my style,” she said. Her beige, backless bodycon look was worn to Max Mara’s Face of the Future Award cocktail party on November 4 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, where she honored this year’s recipient, Adria Arjona, ahead of the official Women in Film Honors at the Beverly Hilton on November 5.
Styled by Dani Michelle, Alba embraced the brand’s “minimal and elegant” aesthetic, pairing her long-sleeved frock with Max Mara Eyewear and a suede top-handle purse. The mother of three described her makeup as “glittery and glamorous” and her beachy waves as “model off-duty.”
Alba said it was the first time she could remember wearing a long-sleeve, long dress in this color. “We had a few different looks to choose from Max Mara.
This is the first time I’ve ever worn a long-sleeve, long dress in this color, that I can remember. It felt very Max Mara.”
She chose a tortoiseshell pattern frame with a rectangular but slightly cat-eye shape, saying it felt flattering and universal. “I usually like something a little oversized and something with a cute shape because they go with so many things.”
Her makeup artist, Ana Uribe, selected eyeshadows in the same color palette as the dress, and Justine Marjan styled her hair in an undone, model off-duty look. Alba said she had a lymphatic drainage massage the night before and a hot workout class that day, and she planned to attend a Gagosian art exhibition and dinner at Mr.
Chow’s afterward.
Asked about her style influences, Alba said that as a young actress she often chose vintage looks inspired by Audrey Hepburn, Rita Hayworth and Veronica Lake, while Kate Moss remains a reference for a laidback, cool everyday look.
